My husband is going to have the surgery but he is in a lot of pain now. Meds don’t help and because it is work related it is workman’s comp so it is going to be dragging out for a while before surgery. I need something that maybe I can do to give him a little relief. He has it in both wrists and his elbow.

I have never had surgery, but I may be needing it after I have experienced cramps in and around the stomach. I don’t know if this is just wind or something else is happening. I am afraid of that because I think that surgery really hurts when the doctor cuts you up and then stitches you up. Can somebody please help me with the surgery. Does it hurt or not and how long do you stay in the hospital afterwards?
It is surgery to do around the stomach area. Would it affect the stomach area?

I need a triple fusion surgery done in my cervical spine. I just had a triple epidural injection under flouroscopy by a pain Doctor. She told me that i need surgery. I cannot even afford the consultation. I have stenosis, degenerative disc disease, and arthritis thrughout my entire spine. The spinal disc problem has been there for many years, probably as a result of my father throwing me thru two sliding hollow door closet door when i was only 9 years old. He was very physically abuse. I’ve also had many sports and other injuries. I have insurance but cannot afford any deductible.
I had to retire early because of it and cannot work anymore, and am on a fixed income.
Does anyone know of a hospital that does this surgery just for the insurance payment, or better yet free under a research grant. I still have numerous medical bills from other illnesses. Please help, as i am desparate.
Tammi B>>>Thank you so much for the info. I just returned from a Dr.’s appt. and was so glad that you spent the time to answer. Bless you..:)

had a few questions for anyone who’s had the surgery
any ways to help with all the gas in my stomach. such an unbearable feeling. i’ve also not had any bowel movements since before operation. .. (almost 3 days). prefer answers from someone w/ this particular knowledge but any advice is appreciated. thanks.
the painkiller is percocet. problem is constipation is a side effect.
i have taken a colace today. it just doesn’t seem to help
even attempting to have a bowel movement seems impossible with the limited use of abdominal muscles because of the pain
i’m sure it’ll be fine. i’m just worried it’ll lead to more problems if i can’t figure this out

I dislocated my shoulder in the beginning of March. Got a second opinion 3 weeks ago and had surgery 2 weeks ago. My pain level is at a 10 if I do not keep up with the pain meds. I even have to take them earlier than the prescribed 4-6 hours. I am off work and need help. Any advice would be very much appreciated. I have 4 incisions to repair Bankart lesion.
