Dea B asked:
ok. so i’ve been in PT for the last three weeks and i have 1 week to go before i go back to the Ortho. the therapist doesn’t like the lack of prgress with my knee and has mentioned the possibility of surgery.
I now have almost full ROM while not weight bearing but still have strong stabbing like pains with ROM while bearing weight(stairs, wall slides,ect..), and when the therapist bends my knee inwardly. I also just started not wearing the brace(immobilizer) which i had been wearing since i injured my knee, and my knee begins to feel unstable if i am on it for any length of time(more then 1 hour).
The initail injury was a minor tear of my MCL, and from the research that i’ve done they usually don’t do surgery for MCL injuries. My question basically is what would the next step be….
